CONTROLLING AIR POLLUTION

CONTROLLING AIR POLLUTION

  1. Better land use planning Zoning Transportation infrastructure
  2. Reduced Use of Private Cars/Efficient Public Transport System
  3. Conversion to cleaner fuels  ( low sulfur fuel such as NG, free form lead)
  4. Alternative to Fossil Fuels (Biodiesel, Alcohol, Liquid Hydrogen etc)
  5. Modification of Engines
  6. Process Modifications
  7. Control Devices at industrial Stacks
  8. Electrostatic Precipitators, Bag House Filters, Scrubbers\
  9. Focus on regional inter-Governmental cooperation. Pollutants can be carried from one country to another, so individual countries cannot solve the associated problems alone.
